There's a renewal for The Las Vegas Story, but with the space missing between "Las" and "Vegas" (the same thing also happened for Las Vegas showdown):

Type of Work: Motion Picture
Registration Number / Date: RE0000073590 / 1980-12-19
Renewal registration for: LP0000001635 / 1952-01-02
Title: The LasVegas story. By R K O Radio Pictures, Inc., screenplay by Earl Felton & Harry Essex, produced by Robert Sparks, directed by Robert Stevenson.
Notes: Based on a story by Jay Dratler.
Copyright Claimant: R K O General, Inc. (PWH)
Variant title: The LasVegas story
Names: Felton, Earl
Essex, Harry
Sparks, Robert
Stevenson, Robert
Dratler, Jay
RKO Radio Pictures, Inc.
RKO General, Inc.

There's also a renewal for Shield for Murder, with an amputated title: "Shield" only (for sceptics, LP4239 does match the original registration number given for Shield for Murder in the 1950-1959 cumulative catalog of copyright entries for motion pictures):

Type of Work: Motion Picture
Registration Number / Date: RE0000138987 / 1982-10-04
Renewal registration for: LP0000004239 / 1954-08-27
Title: Shield. By Camden Productions, Inc.
Copyright Claimant: United Artists Corporation (PWH)
Variant title: Shield
Names: Camden Productions, Inc.
United Artists Corporation

I don't know if the truncated title in the renewal record is due to an error in the original renewal filing or is an artifact or the digitization of the Copyright Office records.

Ah shoot, whata frickin' bummer. I was really looking forward to uploading both of those. Can somebody clarify on why they aren't spelled the way that they should be spelled "Las Vegas Story" and "Shield of Murder"

I wonder if either is valid. Hope Video-Cellar chimes in on these.
